Help us with a hands-on beautification project at Cheremoya Elementary School. We'll work alongside a group of students in caring for and planting native plants. This event will be our third planting of native California plants at the school. These plants are not only well adapted to our particular climate, they also provide food and shelter for native birds, butterflies and other wildlife. This is a great opportunity to learn more about plants and build community at the same time.
Calling all creatives! We are also looking for volunteers to help guide students in an art activity. If you prefer getting your hands covered in paint rather than dirt, we have a job for you.
Details: Space is limited, so please RSVP below. We'll meet at the front entrance of Cheremoya Elementary School at 6017 Franklin Avenue (map it here) at 8:30am on Thursday, December 19. Dress in layers and, if you plan to garden, bring gloves.
