We're expecting a wet winter again this year, and we want to develop our soils and properties to capture and hold as much precipitation as possible.
We will meet this Sunday, December 17 at 9AM at the Mini Grove (the upper Glen Green Street cul-de-sac). We will start the day with a little conversation & demonstration of soil structure and its essential benefits. Then, because of a generous burlap donation from Groundwork Coffee, we will build wattle-style berms on the hillside and spread wood chips on the bare pathways.
Both interventions will help slow down water movement to spread and sink rain, and assist soil development for the benefit of the fruit trees and future native plantings.
We will have some light refreshment, including organic coffee from our sponsor. We love to see you and always appreciate the help. Our land and community are healthier when we grow together.
